My background
As a Rwandan-French Third Culture Kid* link*, who was born in the USA and had lived on four continents by the age of 15, I've had the privilege of being surrounded by multiple cultures and languages my whole life.
This lived experience inspired me to develop a theoretical understanding of how cultures move through us, and shape our identities and worldviews.
After completing a Masters in Translation (French, English and Spanish) and a Masters in Geopolitics and International Relations and working in international charities and organisations, I was introduced to Intercultural Communication, which became my focus.
I am now a certified Intercultural Trainer and Anti-racism advocate who's lived in 10 countries with over 15 years of experience of working across cultures and borders to educate and advocate for inclusive, resilient and forward-thinking organisations and communities.
Along with intercultural frameworks, my approach is deeply grounded in the intersectional work of Black Feminist thinkers and the decolonial approach of Pan-African thought-leaders.
I believe that by recognising and embracing the diversity of cultures, identities and human experiences that surround us, we are able to see the full humanity in each other.
